Grooming Tips For Men

Unrecognizable man combing his beardLong gone are the days when a man who spent more than 10 minutes in the shower with a bar of soap and a bottle of shampoo would be ridiculed. Today, a man is expected to adhere to a certain level of grooming. That being said, you need not spend hundreds of dollars a month on grooming products. If you are in the dark, below is a great guide to get you started.

Trimming your eyebrows is the first step to a neat looking facial appearance. You don’t need to go overboard with the tweezers but if you have a unibrow it would be a good idea to remove the area in the middle. Also, do a little tidying up above and below the brow line.

When you are next at the barber shop, ask him to shave off the runaway hair on the back of your neck. No one likes the caveman look, especially if you are supposed to be a professional!

Your face is one of the first things that people notice about you so treat it with care. Use a facial exfoliator once a week to get rid of excess dead skin cells and to prevent unsightly breakouts. Then, use a men’s facial soap every other day of the week to keep your face in top form. You’ll soon notice the difference!

Treating your nails with care is not just for girls! To have decent looking hands, all that is required is a weekly nail trim and a bit of hand cream every few days to keep them looking good.

Are you using the correct shampoo and conditioner? Now may be the time to evaluate this choice. For example, if you have dandruff, you should switch to an anti-dandruff variety or if you have oily hair, then a lighter shampoo would work well.

Once you have mastered the above tips, you should be well on your way to being a well-groomed gentleman!

The Perfect Winter Coat Trends for That Perfect Look

Outdoor portrait of young guy

We all know that not only does a winter coat keep you warm, but it is a staple in any winter wardrobe. So, what are the current trends to achieve that perfect look this season? Let’s take a look!

  • Bomber and Biker Jackets.

Bomber jackets have recently made a comeback in a really big way. The great news is that they are available in endless colors and lovely fabrics to keep you warm this winter. Get creative with an embroidered or oversized bomber jacket and wear it with some black jeans and ankle boots for an uber cool look.

Biker jackets are also huge this season and look great with jeans, wrap dresses and wedged sneakers for a surprising twist. Don’t be afraid to experiment with your bomber and biker jackets!

2) Three Quarter Length Jacket.

The three quarter length jacket is ideal for those with petit figures or who feel drowned in full length coats. They also make incredible fall jackets and look great with slacks.

3) Fur Jackets.

For the ultimate in luxury, look no further than a faux fur jacket! A fur jacket that skims the knees is a good option but if you want to go all out why not try a full length coat? This season, vintage-inspired faux fur coats are trending in a big way and give you the perfect excuse to snuggle up in the park with you significant other with some hot chocolate!

Another alternative to a fur jacket is a faux fur stole which is the ultimate in feminine chic! Team it with a matching faux fur hat and you are good to go!

4) The Perfect Overcoat.

An overcoat is an essential item for layering and also when fall is going into winter and the weather is changeable. Look out for a sleek and light weight overcoat in your favorite color.
